Maharashtra: goods train crushed 19 laborers in Aurangabad, 16 killed, all sleeping on track
Aurangabad: A horrific rail accident took place in Aurangabad, Maharashtra this morning. Here 19 workers were crushed by a freight train, in which 16 have died. The lives of two laborers have been saved in this incident. The incident took place at 5 am and all these workers were sleeping on the track.

According to the information received, an official of Karmad police station said that the workers going from Jalna to Bhusaval were returning to Madhya Pradesh. These workers were walking on the side of the railway tracks, tired in the middle, then slept on the tracks.
PM Modi has expressed grief over Aurangabad incident. He said, ‘I am deeply saddened by the deaths in the rail accident in Aurangabad, Maharashtra. In this matter, the Railway Minister has talked to Piyush Goyal and he is closely monitoring the situation. All the necessary help is being provided.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal also tweeted on this incident. He said, ‘At 5:22 this morning, there was sad news about the sleeping workers coming down the goods train between Badnapur and Karmad station of Nanded division. Relief work is going on, and orders for inquiries have been given. I pray to God for the peace of departed souls.
